Last month, I paid a visit to a senior high school in Singapore. What impressed me most was e-learning involving online courses taught via the internet.
The school has tablets and touch screens instead of traditional books and blackboards in each classroom. There are also social media platforms to help students work together on projects and online “world”where the students can interact with each other and the digital environment while completing to help learning tasks. Meanwhile, the students can interact with a robot in some classes. The robot is controlled by the teacher and can move around the classroom and talk with the students.

It’s excited to receive your letter. During your visit to a senior high school in Singapore, e-learning you witnessed there also impressed me a lot.
As a product of technological development, for the young, e-learning seems so convenient. A variety of apps enable learners to learn and practice anytime, anywhere. Through apps, students and teachers even can communicate with each other online. During last winter vacation in early 2020, due to the outbreak of COVID-19, e-learning was adopted by many students for this special period. WeChat accounts of parents post progress reports every day on what their children were doing. Therefore, it’s difficult to keep teenagers focused on their study with so many animated teaching resources.
In conclusion, e-learning is convenient but lacks supervision, especially for immature teenagers. As far as I’m concerned, traditional learning in classroom will never easily be replaced by e-learning. However, various electronic devices can be supplementary for traditional teaching.
