In her ninety-third summer, Agnes slipped and fell in her small cottage. The fall was quite bad, and she had to be taken to the hospital. After a few days, she was transferred to a nursing home to recover. But Agnes didn't want to be there. She missed her little cottage, her dog Rusty, and her dear husband who had passed away.
In the nursing home, Agnes was always looking for a chance to escape. She didn't like the unfamiliar environment and the strict rules. Her caretaker, a kind-hearted woman named Linda, noticed Agnes's uneasiness and sadness. She tried to comfort Agnes, but it didn't seem to work.
One day, a little girl named Mimi came to the nursing home with her dog Matti. Mimi's grandmother was also staying there. As Mimi and Matti walked down the hallway, Agnes saw them. Matti was a cute little dog with a shiny coat and big, friendly eyes. When Agnes saw Matti, she was immediately reminded of her own Rusty at home.
Agnes couldn't help but reach out and pet Matti...
