American magician David Blaine left the glass box in which he had lived for 44 days without food on October 19. Hundreds of people came to watch the end of his starvation experiment. Which has become one of London's main tourist attractions.

became known as a street magician in the early 1990s. He soon found himself doing magic tricks in bars for the likes of American actor Leonardo DiCaprio and his super model friends.
Over the last ten years Blaille has become famous with a combination of breathtaking magic
and clever tricks aimed at getting a lot of attention.
In 1999, he was buried in a coffin for one week and, in 2000. he spent 62 hours in a giant block of ice. Last year he stood on the top of a 25-meter pillar in the center of New York for 35 hours before jumping into a pile of boxes.
"I think a lot of people are unable to accept that they're able to do what they can do, " he said."They don't realize we can survive. The human being is an amazing creation. "

根据第一段中的“American magician David Blaine left the glass box in whichhe had lived for 44 days without food on October 19”可知,Blaine在没有吃食物的情况下,在玻璃箱里生活了44天,所以成百上千的人是来观看他禁食经历的结束。
38.【答案】A。 根据第二段及最后一段中的“He said that sometimes he was unable tosee, had serious back pains and lost his sense of taste”可知B、C、D三项正确,A项说法过于绝对。
mad“疯狂的,愚蠢的”,brave“勇敢的”,crazy“疯狂的,狂热的”,creative“创造性的”。 另外,根据第四段“Over the last ten years Blaine has become famous with acombination of breathtaking magic and clever tricks aimed at getting a lot of attention”可知作者对Blaine持有欣赏的态度。
根据倒数第二段中的“…They don't realize we can survive. The humanbeing is an amazing creation”可知Blaine认为,人类是能够创造奇迹的,故排除A。根据第三段中的“Blainewas brought up by his grandparents in Brooklyn,New York since he was born”可知B项与原文不符。根据第二段中的“…Blaine was taken out of his box over the River Thames and sent to hospital at once”可知C项与原文相符。根据第三段中的“He soon found himself doing magic tricks in bars for the likes of American actor LeonardoDiCaprio and his super model friends”可知D项与原文相符。
